I’ll share a little secret about the creation of bitcoin with you.
I have Asperger’s. If you look at the theory of mind associated with this particular condition you will find that it’s not easy for us to figure out how to lie properly. For most people that doesn’t seem an issue. Imagine with wife and family. You are asked do I look good in this and you answer honestly.
Imagine knowing that the world has a competitive advantage because you can’t pick anyone’s tells properly. You trust people too much. You get screwed over because other people lie to you all the time.
Imagine now that there is a system that will stop people being able to change documents. That will be able to capture the truth in a legally admissible manner. So when people do try and cheat and tell you something it can be used against them. So that nobody can hack a system and change documents. If they were to try it would leave more evidence of what they did.
A part of why I created bitcoin was because of my Asperger’s. If you search up the condition you will find that we are people who find it difficult to understand deception. We can learn that we never like it.
So bitcoin is created to make a world that suits me. It’s created to make it more expensive for people to lie. Little white lies that others tell are outside the scope of what I care but business and finance matter. So in part, I created bitcoin to make a world fit for people with Asperger’s,
